With its third store in Romania, the Malaysian retail chain Mr. DIY has now arrived in the country’s capital: on 9 May 2026, the company opened its store in the Grand Arena shopping centre.
In mid-March, Mr. DIY had opened its first Romanian store in the Supernova shopping centre in Pitești, followed a week later by its second in the Shopping City shopping centre in Sibiu. The company aims to launch a total of ten stores in Romania this year, Cătălin Secăreanu, Business Development Manager at Mr. DIY Romania, told the Romanian online service bricoretail.ro. In the long term, the company sees potential for 500 stores across the country.
