I took this and the other photos today on my way to work, which I covered by bike as usual – a real blessing for me, as an office worker, because it gives me regular exercise and a degree of independence from oil price fluctuations (though it does mean 30 minutes of rain-soaked or, as it was today, frosty weather every now and then).

What I mean by this is: the remaining days of Holy Week are, as I see it, an opportunity for (self-)reflection – personally, but also professionally, because that too is part of our lives. In the current geopolitically volatile situation, which is particularly challenging for the home improvement sector, this is perhaps especially valuable. However, amidst all this self-reflection, my appeal would be: let us always think first of the victims of the wars currently being waged, on all sides.
As we all know, Good Friday is followed by Easter, a festival centred on hope and confidence. I am convinced that it is also all right to be hopeful. That is my wish for all our readers, our advertisers and the partners with whom we are privileged to work time and again.
