The German Bauhaus Group has reorganised its management. Johannes Harter has been the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Interbauhaus AG, based in Belp, Switzerland, the holding company of the internationally active group, since 1 January 2026. He has also been appointed spokesperson for the management board of Bauhaus Germany. Neither position existed previously. Sven Unrath was also appointed Chief Merchandise Officer (CMO) of the German management board with effect from 1 January.
Harter succeeds Stefan Wolsiffer, who, as a long-standing member of the management board, will retire on 30 June 2026 after more than three decades at Bauhaus, according to a press release from the company. However, Wolsiffer did not officially hold a CEO or spokesperson position either. Bauhaus has always emphasised the principles of collegiality and unanimity in its management.
