The organisers of the Global DIY Summit have published the programme for the conference in Amsterdam in June. For the first time, Alexandre Laubie, Managing Director of the Global DIY Summit, will be leading the programme for the two-day congress together with John Herbert. Herbert, who founded the summit together with the manufacturers' association Hima during his long tenure as Managing Director of the international DIY association Edra/Ghin, will be retiring at the end of March, but will still be on stage at the congress in 2026. "Reflections on 70 years in retail: From counter service to the digital age" is the title of his presentation, which will conclude the first day of the congress before the gala dinner with the presentation of the DIY Lifetime Award.
Some speakers had already been named in advance by the summit organisers, such as Joost de Beijer, CEO of Intergamma, Dan Starr, CEO of Do it Best and True Value, and Patricia Grundmann, Managing Director of Obi Media & Retail Media. New additions to the list of speakers include Ed Sander from Tech Buzz China, who will talk about "Temu demystified", Jean-Jacques Van Oosten from Digital Transformation X, Summeet Anand from IndSight Growth Partners with a presentation on opportunities in India, and Chris Blatchford, CTO of Kingfisher, who will address the topic of cybersecurity.
The Global DIY Summit will take place on 17 and 18 June 2026 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam. There will be a store tour in the region on 16 June. Information and registration: www.diysummit.org
