DIY and building materials trade in the USA continues to decline

The DIY and building materials trade in the USA remained well below the corresponding previous year's sales in November. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, building material and garden equipment and supplies dealers (NAICS 444, North American Industry Classification) generated sales of USD 37.854 bn (EUR 32.084 bn) in November, down 5.0 per cent on November 2024. For the eleven months from January to November, this represents a decline of 1.8 per cent compared to the same period last year, to USD 443.661 bn (EUR 376.029 bn).
