The British DIY chain Wickes closed 2025 with sales growth of 5.9 per cent compared to the previous year. Like-for-like, the increase was 4.9 per cent. Total sales amounted to GBP 1.636 bn (EUR 1.880 bn).
The lion's share of this was accounted for by the retail division, which grew by 6.5 per cent to GBP 1.209 bn (EUR 1.382 bn). Here, the like-for-like increase was 5.7 per cent. Within the division, the professional business, which operates under the Trade Pro brand at Wickes, performed above average. In the second half of the year, it recorded sales growth of 8 per cent. DIY sales grew in the mid-single-digit percentage range from July to December, according to the trading update at the end of the fourth quarter.
