Leroy Merlin has set up outlet areas in its Polish stores under the motto „Selling is better than throwing away“. Almost one million products have been sold in this way, according to the website of the DIY store operator. The range includes display items, discontinued models and items with minor defects. Before the items are put back on sale, they undergo a triple quality control process by sales, logistics and security staff.
The outlet areas are part of the ‘Robi Klimat’ programme strategy and Leroy Merlin Polska's long-term ESG ambitions for 2026. These include reducing greenhouse gas emissions along the entire value chain (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and developing solutions for a circular economy.
