The German DIY chain Hornbach is planning to expand into Serbia. Hornbach Baumarkt AG is working on opening DIY and garden centres in Serbia in the coming years, the company has announced. Subsidiaries have been established in preparation for market entry. The priorities in the project are the selection and development of excellent locations and the acquisition of new regional suppliers.

Erich Harsch, CEO of Hornbach Baumarkt AG, explains that the company wants to “continue to grow organically. In Serbia, a country in the heart of Europe with such a long and eventful history and such a diverse culture, we see a lot of potential for this.”
