The Ingka Group reports a decline in Ikea's retail sales for the 2024/2025 financial year (ending 31 August 2025). The furniture chain generated Euro 39 bn in sales worldwide, down 1.6 per cent on the previous year. Quantities sold rose by 1.6 per cent, while the number of store visits increased by 1.3 per cent to 736 million. At the same time, online visits rose by 4.6 per cent. The online share of sales increased by 2 percentage points to 30 per cent. In the 2024/2025 financial year, Ikea opened 54 new brick-and-mortar stores, including stores in a new inner-city format and planning studios.
