Iñaki Maillard leaves the Summit organisation of Edra and Hima

Iñaki Maillard is leaving Fediyma Edra Kongress GmbH (FEK), the joint service company of the industry associations Edra/Ghin and Hima, which organises the Global DIY-Summit and the Virtual DIY-Summit. The move is by mutual agreement of all parties involved, according to a statement. Maillard was appointed managing director of FEK in April 2023. He had previously worked for the company as general manager and communications and marketing manager.

Alexandre Laubie took over as his successor on 1 October 2025. The Frenchman was most recently director of the Professional Market Division at Leroy Merlin France.

Maillard played a key role in shaping the Global DIY-Summit. Under his leadership, the event was organised smoothly and brought together around 1,000 decision-makers and managers from the global home improvement industry every year.
