Lowe's sales return to growth

US home improvement chain Lowe's increased its sales in the second quarter (ending 1 August 2025) of the 2025/2026 fiscal year by 1.6 per cent compared with the same period last year, generating sales of USD 23.959 bn (EUR 20.497 bn). On a same-store basis, sales rose by 1.1 per cent.

This means that the number two home improvement retailer in the US and worldwide has been able to halt the decline in sales. In the first half of the year, sales totalled USD 44.888 bn (EUR 38.402 bn). This was just slightly (minus 0.1 per cent) below the corresponding level for the previous year (plus 0.1 per cent).
