Malaysian retail chain Mr. DIY is continuing its expansion in Poland and has now opened its first store in the capital Warsaw. Located in the Galeria Wileńska shopping centre, it is larger than the existing Mr. DIY stores in Poland. Three more stores are planned to open in Warsaw this summer. Other Polish cities are also on the expansion list.
Poland will also provide logistical support for expansion into other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. This was announced by Europe Business Development Director Magdalena Nazarewicz in a statement to DIY International.
Nazarewicz, who was previously responsible for Poland, has a successor in this role. Łukasz Dobrowolski has been at the helm of Mr. DIY's Polish subsidiary since 1 July.
