With around nine months to go before the start of the International Hardware Fair, the organisers have announced the current number of registrations: not only is the early bird phase a success internationally, with exhibiting companies from over 40 countries and a foreign share of over 87 percent, but numerous German companies have also already registered, according to Koelnmesse. Director Sebastian Hein is convinced that the demand underlines the importance of the trade fair as the most relevant global platform for the presentation of new products, services and technologies in the tools and hardware sector.

The International Hardware Fair will take place in Cologne from 3 to 6 March 2026 - for the first time in a new sequence of days from Tuesdays to Fridays. The German companies and brands taking part include Abus, Alfer Aluminium, Allit, Burg-Wächter, Collomix, Conmetall Meister, Edding, Fischerwerke, Alberts, Hailo, Hettich Do-It-Yourself, Kip, Krause, Scheppach, Spax, Suki, Techtronic Industries, Tox-Dübel and Wolfcraft. From other countries, the event has received registrations from Rapid, Stanley Black & Decker and Toughbuilt, among others.

Spread over eleven hall levels, the International Hardware Fair offers a wide range of products from tools and equipment to building and DIY supplies, fittings, fastening and connecting technology and industrial supplies. There will also be an event programme again in 2026. The ‘Eisenforum’, whose programme is curated by digital expert Michael Atug and addresses topics such as the use of AI, aims to provide impetus for industry development.

With the DIY Boulevard, the trade fair is once again giving exhibiting companies the opportunity to present their products in a POS-oriented environment in cooperation with the home and garden manufacturers' association HHG.

The ‘Eisenaward powered by ZHH’ will also be presented live again in 2026. Together with the Central Hardware Trade Association (ZHH), the International Hardware Fair is searching for new ideas, inventions and solutions from the industry. The three winners of the award will be honoured on stage. The ten nominated products will also be on display in a special area during the trade fair. Registered exhibitors can apply free of charge from autumn 2025.
