The US home improvement retailer Lowe's reported its results for the first quarter of 2025, which ended 2 May 2025. Total sales for the quarter were USD 20.9 bn (EUR 18.5 bn), compared to USD 21.4 bn in the prior-year quarter. This amounts to a decline of around 2.3 per cent. Comparable sales decreased 1.7 per cent, as unfavorable weather earlier in the quarter was partially offset by mid-single-digit Pro and online comparable sales growth, as the world's second-largest home improvement group stated in a press release. As of 2 May 2025, Lowe's operated 1,750 stores.
The company also affirmed its outlook for the full year 2025: Lowe’s expects total sales between USD 83.5 bn and 84.5 bn. Comparable sales are expected to be flat up to +1 per cent as compared to the prior year.
