The Thai DIY chain HomePro just missed last year's sales level in the first quarter. Sales fell by 0.66 per cent to 17.54744 bn baht (THB, EUR 468.50 mio). “Revenue declined primarily due to increased consumer caution in their spending amid economic pressures, the reduced e-receipt spending cap for general retailers, and fewer operating days in February compared to last year,” the company explained in its quarterly report. “In addition, the late arrival of summer coupled with March rainfall in several areas negatively impacted sales of cooling appliances when compared to the same period last year.” There were no new store openings or closures during the reporting period.
