Since Mr DIY has been trying to gain a foothold in Europe, the Malaysian retailer has been attracting more attention on the international home improvement scene. It was already expanding rapidly in Southeast Asia and is now represented in eleven countries. And there is also a lot going on in the region at the moment. Among other things, Siam Global House is planning to expand from Thailand to the Philippines.
Jennee Grace U Rubrico, DIY International's correspondent in Southeast Asia, spoke to analysts about the companies' strategies and the prospects for the success of their expansion plans.
