Bau China makes a strong comeback

The leading trade fair in the Asia-Pacific region for "Building Systems Solutions, High-End Technologies and Materials" made an impressive return with more than 56 000 visitors from 70 countries and 773 exhibitors from 12 countries. In 2019, there were 778 exhibitors, the organiser, Messe München, reported in a press release. As at Bau in Munich, experts from the fields of planning, architecture and the construction process met in China from 3 to 6 August. In addition to China, the top exhibiting countries were Germany, Italy and Japan, in that order.

 "Despite the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic, we are very satisfied with the results of Bau China," reports Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO of Messe München. "With a net exhibition area of 54 000 m2 and gross exhibition area of 115 000 m2 and visitor numbers, the performance is outstanding." As a pioneer of architectural trends in Asia, the China Architectural Design Expo (Cade) plays a key role in Bau China. This year, the exhibition's theme was "One Earth Sustainable Tomorrow." Here and in the Bau Congress China (BCC) area, there were more than 23 conference sections dealing with "Architecture and Urban Planning in the 21st Century. 

The next Bau China will be held in Shanghai from 16 to 19 October, 2024.
