Thai home improvement retailer Siam Global House reported a 5.29 per cent rise in sales for 2022, crediting this to same-store sales growth as well as the opening of two new outlets. The publicly listed company, which also has a presence in Cambodia and stakes in home improvement retailers in Laos, Myanmar and Indonesia, disclosed sales revenues of 35.27 bn Thai baht (THB, EUR 960.78 mio) for the period. "This was from increases in same-store sales growth and two new stores in 2022," the company said.

Of this figure, the Thailand operations accounted for the bulk of the sales at THB 34.58 bn, while Cambodia contributed THB 684.92 mio. The company's interest in Myanmar yielded THB 897 000 for the year.

At the end of 2022, Global House had 77 stores operating in Thailand and one in Cambodia. Through its joint venture with Siam Cement Group, the company owns stakes in Pro1 Global Centre in Myanmar, Souvanny in Laos, and PT. Caturkarda Depo Bangunan in Indonesia. The company also owns a logistics firm in China and has partnered with Philippine conglomerate Cosco Capital Inc to pursue plans for setting up a home improvement retailing company in the archipelago.
