Migros speciality stores down 6.7 per cent

The speciality stores of the Swiss Migros Group, including the Obi and Do it + Garden brands, experienced subdued consumer demand in 2022. Following the momentum of the Covid years, sales fell by 6.7 per cent to CHF 1.612 bn (EUR 1.608 bn). The Migros Group as a whole said it achieved record sales of more than CHF 30 bn (EUR 29.922 bn) in 2022, with the retail department as a whole increasing its sales by 4.9 per cent to CHF 8.582 bn (EUR 8.56 bn). Total online sales grew by 15.3 per cent to CHF 3.737 bn (EUR 3.727 bn).
