The organisers of the Eisenwarenmesse -  International Hardware Fair 2022, which took place from 25 to 28 September 2022 in Cologne (Germany), speak of a successful comeback. Around 1 400 exhibitors from 50 countries presented their products and innovations to the industry. The show was attended by roughly 25 000 trade visitors from 125 countries, more than 70 per cent of whom travelled from outside Germany. In cooperation with the German manufacturers' association Haus & Garten, Koelnmesse offered 56 suppliers a total of 272 metres of presentation space on the DIY Boulevard.

"The relief at being able to meet physically again after such a long time and to conclude business deals in a personal exchange was palpable throughout the fair," noted Oliver Frese, COO of Koelnmesse. "The feedback from exhibitors in terms of business contacts is positive across the board," he summed up. The International Hardware Fair was last held in March 2018.

"The Eisenwarenmesse - International Hardware Fair is the most important platform for our industry. It's both a barometer of trends and a trendsetter. In other words, it's the networking platform for the global hardware trade," said John Herbert, general secretary of Edra/Ghin.

The next International Hardware Fair will be held in Cologne from 3 to 6 March 2024.
