Donations for the Ukraine, stopped deliveries to Russia

There are further reports from the home improvement sector about aid for Ukraine and economic involvement in Russia. For example, the German DIY store operator Bauhaus donates a total of EUR 200 000 as emergency aid to Ärzte ohne Grenzen/Médecins sans frontières (Doctors without Borders) and to a children's charity.

Gebol, an Austrian supplier of personal protective equipment, is supporting people fleeing Ukraine. According to the manufacturer, there is a lack of necessary protective equipment to counteract additional exposure to the Covid-19 pandemic. This has prompted Gebol's managing director to send a relief transport with 100 000 FFP3 masks to the Ukrainian border. Numerous other companies have joined fundraising campaigns, initiated their own donations or taken up and supported the commitment of their employees.

The German security specialist Burg-Wächter is stopping all product deliveries to Russia. At the same time, the company stresses that the brutal actions of the Russian leadership should not lead to the stigmatisation of the Russian population.
