Home Depot has reported a 14.4 per cent increase in sales for the 2021/2022 financial year (ending 30 January 2022). The turnover of the US based DIY world market leader increased to USD 151.157 bn (EUR 133.279 bn). Like-for-like, the increase was 11.4 per cent overall and 10.7 per cent in the USA.

Craig Menear, chairman and CEO, commented: "Fiscal 2021 was another record year for The Home Depot. We achieved a milestone of over USD 150 bn in sales. Our ability to grow the business by over USD 40 bn in the last two years is a testament to investments we have made in the business, our ability to execute with agility, and our associates' relentless focus on our customers. I would like to thank all of our associates, as well as our supplier partners, for their hard work and dedication to serving our customers, communities and each other."

Growth momentum had slowed somewhat by the end of the year, but was still significant. Compared to the same period last year, sales from November to January rose 10.7 per cent to USD 35.719 bn (EUR 31.494 bn). The like-for-like increase was 8.1 per cent, in the USA 7.6 per cent.
