11.12.2020

The Israeli Keter group has set out a new sustainability strategy with which it intends to build its commitment to the responsible creation of plastic-based products. It particularly concerns the topics of circular economy, operational efficiencies and employees.
In concrete terms, this means that the manufacturer of house and garden products has set out five pledges which it wants to fulfil in the next five years: 1. 55 per cent of recycled content in total production; 2. Continued zero production of single-use plastic consumer products; 3. 25 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from production; 4. Zero waste to landfill from production; 5. Product end of life programmes in all regions.
In order to achieve this, the company intends to concentrate on three topics: "Better products for better places" - this concerns the circular approach for product design, manufacturing and lifetime product use. "Better planet" - operational efficiencies and environmentally positive actions throughout its supply chain will contribute to this goal. And finally, "Better business" delivering social value through ethical conduct and community investment. For example, Keter wishes to promote gender diversity and achieve more than 30 per cent of women in the workforce, management and executive leadership.
