Wirecard, provider of global digital finance technology, and Leroy Merlin have signed an MOU (memorandum of understanding) to extend the e-commerce business of the construction and DIY specialists. Leroy Merlin, with headquarters in France and subsidiaries in 13 countries, is part of the Adeo group. The group is the worldwide third largest provider in the DIY sector.As part of the cooperation, Wirecard will support Leroy Merlin's B2C marketplace in Brazil. It offers a platform which provides both internal brands by the DIY specialists as well as those by partner suppliers. Leroy Merlin is represented in Brazil with 41 branches and a portfolio of more than 100 000 articles and in 2017 recorded overall sales locally of almost USD 1.4 bn. Wirecard sees itself as one of the worldwide fastest growing digital platforms in the financial commerce sector.
