The retail division of German building materials co-operative Eurobaustoff increased its centrally invoiced turnover by 0.9 per cent in the first five months of this year compared with the same period last year. The total centrally invoiced purchasing volume of the cooperative rose more strongly, increasing by 2.3 per cent between January and May 2025 compared with the same period last year. These figures were announced at the Eurobaustoff general meeting.

The overall building materials trade in Germany recorded a decline in turnover last year. This was due to difficult economic conditions, particularly in residential construction. From Eurobaustoff's perspective, there are now signs of an improvement. “I believe we have reached the bottom,” commented Eurobaustoff CEO Dr Eckard Kern.
