The Swedish retailer Clas Ohlson concluded the third quarter of its current financial year at the end of January with sales of SEK 2.482 bn, equivalent to an increase of nine per cent. For the first nine months of the financial year, thus from May 2016 to January 2017, the company's sales totalled SEK 6.415 bn. This equates to growth of five per cent compared with the same period in the previous year, while in local currency terms sales rose by four per cent. Compared with previous years, growth has slowed, due in part to the company's withdrawal from some regions in Great Britain to concentrate in smaller stores in the Greater London area.
