The British discounter B&M aims to open up to 50 new stores in Great Britain in the current financial year. In the first quarter (ended 25 June 2016) it announced twelve new openings, bringing the total to 511 outlets at the end of the quarter. The company is targeting 50 new stores this year and around 850 stores overall in Great Britain.
In Germany, the company operates under the Jawoll brand. Five store openings here have increased its portfolio to 61 outlets, with 75 set as the target by the end of the year. Both the German and British distribution channels have a large offering of DIY and in particular garden ranges, as well as furniture, home textiles, leisure and pet products.
