Messe Essen has announced an exhibitor and visitor record for the latest Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing. The trade show in the Chinese capital attracted 679 exhibitors from 30 countries. The figure surpasses the 427 exhibitors in Beijing two years ago and the total of 612 companies from 27 countries that exhibited in Shanghai last year.
The number of visitors, who came from 46 countries, increased by 56 per cent compared with 2014 and by around 50 per cent compared with last year. Due to the high demand, the fair was moved to Beijing's biggest exhibition site, the new China International Exhibition Center, where it occupied 31 000 m² of exhibition space from 11 to 13 May. Next year the joint event will take place in Shanghai from 10 to 12 May.
