Change of halls improves access routes at Spoga+Gafa 2016

20.05.2016

There is to be a change in the hall layout for this year's Spoga+Gafa in Cologne. The move of Spoga Horse Herbst, which is staged in parallel to Spoga+Gafa, to hall 11 means that hall 4 is being assigned to the garden living segment, covering garden furniture, garden equipment and decorative items for the garden. Because the show now extends along the entire trade fair boulevard, this is a "visitor- and buyer-friendly division" with shorter routes for the visitors, according to Katharina C. Hamma, director of Koelnmesse, at the preliminary press conference.Landgard will hold its plant ordering days once again in hall 5.1. The show's cooperative initiative with the plant marketing organisation is now in its third year. "Plants have definitely returned to Cologne," said Hamma, who also announced new exhibitors in this sphere. A "plant avenue" is also being created for the first time this year in the adjacent Passage 4/5, and the boulevard of ideas will feature once more. The garden trade fair will occupy an area of 225 000 m² in all in halls 1 to 7, 9 and 10. Around 2 000 suppliers from 60 or more countries are expected to attend. 97 per cent of the allocated area is now booked.
