The Norwegian Orkla Group has acquired L.G. Harris, a leading British manufacturer of painting tools and accessories. Through its Orkla House Care division, the company already operates as one of the leading European manufacturers in this sector with the brands Jordan, Anza, Spekter and Hamilton, the latter as a professional brand in Great Britain. L.G. Harris concentrates on the British DIY market with its Harris, Lynwood, Harris Victoria and T-Class brands.
L.G. Harris has two production sites; one is located at the head office in Bromsgrove, outside Birmingham and the other in China. In total, the company has almost 1 000 employees. L.G. Harris also owns 50% of a joint venture with a local partner in India and the company has a minority shareholding in a painting tool manufacturer in Sri Lanka. For the latest 12 months per March 2016, L.G. Harris achieved total sales revenues of GBP 60.9 mio.
