Sales by Swedish retailer Clas Ohlson decreased by five per cent in March to SEK 489 mio. In local currencies, sales decreased by two per cent. The company explained this trend in March sales as the result of the negative impact of a calendar effect, due to fewer trading days compared with the previous year.
Compared with the same month in the previous year, the net store portfolio was expanded by seven stores. At the end of the period, the total number of stores was 205. Total sales during the first eleven months of the fiscal year (May 2015 to March 2016) increased by four per cent to SEK 7.082 bn. In local currencies, sales increased by six per cent.
