Homebase increases its sales on the same area in the second quarter by 5.9 per cent

The British Homebase chain recorded a decrease in turnover of 2.8 per cent to GBP 378 mio in the second quarter (end: 29 August 2015) of the fiscal year compared to the same period last year. Even though they increased their like-for-like sales by 5.9 per cent, the closure of eight stores left its mark. Currently there are still 271 Homebase stores.
The first half of the year presents a similar overall picture. Despite a like-for-like growth of 5.6 per cent, the total turnover dropped by 2.2 per cent to GBP 816 mio compared to the same period last year.
