The South African builders merchant and DIY store operator Cashbuild increased its sales in fiscal 2014/2015 (ended 30 June 2015) by 13 per cent to ZAR 7.693 bn. South Africa accounted for ZAR 6.733 bn of this figure. In Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho, Cashbuild’s sales totalled ZAR 569 mio, and ZAR 360 mio in Botswana and Malawi. Like-for-like growth was eight per cent overall. During the period under review the company opened 24 new stores and now operates 222 outlets, plus eleven pilot stores of the Cashbuild DIY Format.
