Bunnings increased its sales revenue in the financial year 2014/2015 by almost twelve per cent

The Australian DIY chain Bunnings grew by 11.6 per cent to achieve a turnover of AUD 9.534 bn in the fiscal year 2014/2015 (end: 30 June). The like-for-like increase was 8.8 per cent. The company, which also operates in New Zealand, opened 29 new stores in these twelve months, namely 20 Bunnings stores in warehouse format, six smaller stores as well as three building material stores. At the same time, a total of 16 stores were closed. By mid-year Bunnings operated 236 large and 65 smaller stores as well as 33 building material stores.The high expansion pace should be maintained in the coming years. By 2017, a further 15 to 18 warehouse locations are to be opened each year, followed by yearly openings of 10 to 14 stores.
