The Finnish retailer Kesko has reported an overall increase in sales of 8.7 per cent to € 310.6 mio for its home improvement division (K-rauta, Byggmakker etc.) for July of this year. Above all, the sales figures outside the domestic market in Finland (-11.9 per cent, € 145.9 mio) showed a very positive trend. DIY sales abroad increased by exactly five per cent to € 164.7 mio. Sales by Kesko’s foreign home improvement stores thus overtook domestic DIY sales for the first time.
