Jeld-Wen who claim to be the world's largest manufacturer of windows and doors, has acquired Dooria AS. Dooria is one of the largest manufacturers of wooden doors in Scandinavia and a leading provider of doors in residential and commercial areas in Sweden and Norway. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Dooria, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, has three locations for door manufacturing in Sweden and has approximately 200 employees. The company offers a complete range of doors. These include interior, exterior and special doors in a variety of designs. The 68-year-old company, known for its high quality and innovative door designs and options, will become part of Jeld-Wen’s Northern European business unit, consisting of 17 sales and production branches in seven countries. The acquisition complements the more than a billion US dollar business that Jeld-Wen has in Europe today.
Jeld-Wen operates in more than 20 countries and generates sales of around USD 3.5 bn - half of them outside the United States.
