Selling ban

A German court has prohibited the sale of some high-pressure cleaners by Danish manufacturer Nilfisk A/S in Germany because they breach EU limit values in respect of electromagnetic compatibility. Alfred Kärcher Vertriebs-GmbH applied for an interim injunction against the marketing of these models and won its case. The suit focused on three models of high-pressure cleaner manufactured in China at the turn of the year. According to this, tests carried out by a VDE test laboratory on Kärcher’s behalf and by Kärcher itself demonstrate that the limit values of European standards were exceeded
