A festive tribute for James Inglis in the Guildhall, London

The Global DIY-Lifetime Award 2015 was awarded to James (Jim) W. Inglis yesterday evening, 11th June 2015, as part of the 3rd Global DIY Summit. James Inglis has been active in the DIY industry for 50 years. He was Executive Vice President Merchandising at Home Depot from 1983 to 1996 and a member of the Corporate Board of Directors. After spending two and a half years as Chief Operating Officer at The Maxim Group – Carpetmax, he became an independent international consultant. His client portfolio includes such big names as Sodimac (Chile), Hornbach (Germany), Komeri (Japan) und Bunnings (Australia). Sandro Solari, Group CEO of Falabella, the parent company of Sodimac, held the laudation in the Guildhall, London within the framework of a gala dinner. He referred to a notably touched James Inglis, as "the White Knight and Lord of the home centers". The prize is jointly awarded by Edra (European DIY-Retail Association), Fediyma (European Federation of DIY Manufacturers) and GHIN (Global Home Improvement Network).
