More than 750 industry representatives registered for 3rd Global DIY Summit

The 3rd Global DIY Summit has opened today in London with a record number of delegates. More than 750 representatives of the DIY store sector from all over the world are meeting for the two-day summit in the British capital. The majority of market-leading companies from trade and industry are represented by their top management. One of the highlights will be the presentation of the Global DIY Lifetime Award 2015 to Jim Inglis, the former executive vice-president of strategic development at Home Depot, in the historic Guildhall.
The run-up to the summit saw a store tour through the Greater London Area yesterday with stops at B&Q, Screwfix, Wickes and Homebase. Summit delegates who had already arrived then enjoyed an evening get-together.
