Hornbach invests abroad

Projects in the Netherlands, Austria and Romania are in the pipeline

The German Hornbach Group will return their main investment and expansion focus abroad after having moved back to the domestic market last year, due to the takeover of former Praktiker and Max Bahr locations. As a result, up to six new stores are planned for 2015/2016 (including two replacement locations), five of which will be in the Netherlands (2), Austria (2) and Romania (1) as well as a new store opening in Germany. The company laid out its plans to invest € 180 to € 200 mio, at the presentation of its annual financial results.
