Ten per cent boost for Ace Hardware

The US cooperative Ace Hardware increased its sales in the first quarter by 10.0 per cent compared with the same period last year, with total sales amounting to USD 1.1861 bn. These essentially comprised wholesale transactions with the cooperative’s 4 252 affiliated independent retailers. Central sales rose by 10.1 per cent to USD 1.1398 bn. The cooperative’s own retail sales increased by 5.9 per cent to USD 46.3 mio.
The precise external sales of Ace members are not known. Approximately 3 000 retailers who report their sales to the central office increased their sales on the same store area by 9.2 per cent.
