European consumers can imagine buying more online

Online trade with DIY and garden products still has a lot of untapped potential in Europe, according to data collected by USP Marketing Consultancy’s Home Improvement Monitor. Indeed 24 per cent of the people questioned said that they had actually bought products from these categories on the Internet last year.
In actual fact, the number of consumers in practically all countries, who would be prepared to buy online, is much higher. In particular, Italy (83 per cent), Poland (80 per cent) and Spain (76 per cent) could imagine it. Whereby Poland already has the second highest number of real online buyers of DIY products. Top of this ranking is Great Britain (38 per cent). Germany holds third place. The consumers who are the least interested in Internet buying are in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
