Byggmax examines expansion goals

The Swedes are analysing the market in Germany, Great Britain and Poland

The Swedish DIY chain Byggmax is thinking about entering the market in Germany, Great Britain and Poland. “We are currently analysing these markets”, CEO Magnus Agervald confirmed a corresponding report from the news agency ScandinavianRetail.com to the specialist trade journal DIY International. However, according to the report, Byggmax does not see any potential in Denmark.
Byggmax currently operates 114 stores, 74 of which are in Sweden, 27 in Norway and 13 in Finland. The company regards the new Byggmax 2.0 concept, which has been implemented in 78 stores, as a success.
