Swedes engaging in refurbishment

The Swedish building materials and hardware trade is booming at present. Like-for-like sales in the sector rose by 12.5 per cent in March, according to the news agency Scandinavianretail.com. The reasons for this were the government’s announcement of a reduction in tax deductions and property prices reaching record levels, which are driving the rate of refurbishment of private homes upwards.
