Ownership rate in Europe

On average, 61 per cent of Europeans own the house or apartment that they live in. In most cases, we’re talking about houses; a quarter live in their own apartment, according to a study by the real estate group Re/Max. Most homeowners come from Great Britain, the Netherlands and Italy. On average, Europeans spend 40 per cent of their household income on their homes.
