Good opportunities in Europa

The consultancy company USP predicts good opportunities for the coming six months for the DIY industry. The positive prognosis is based on the data from the European Home Improvement Barometer. According to which, more Europeans started projects on their houses and flats in January and February as in the corresponding months a year earlier. The proportion was 9.6 per cent in January (January 2013: 8.5 per cent) and 11.3 per cent in February (9.2 per cent). Almost two thirds of these jobs were done as do-it-yourself projects and the rest were left in the hands of professionals.
In addition, more Europeans have plans for further projects in the coming six months, compared to last year. In January and February the proportion of people planning new projects was 62.4 and 66.2 per cent respectively.
