The crisis influences the Spanish market

Leroy Merlin has asked Spaniards about the popularity of Do-it-yourself

Has the DIY market benefited from the economic and financial crisis in Spain? At least 41 per cent of Spaniards think that the crisis has influenced the development of Do-it-yourself. These are the results of a survey carried out on behalf of the DIY chain Leroy Merlin. A majority of the Spaniards - almost 55 per cent – claim to do a lot of DIY jobs themselves. 19 per cent say that they ask acquaintances while 15 per cent employ a professional. This corresponds with the claims that 55 per cent really or pretty much like doing a bit of DIY themselves.
