The South African building materials trading group expands also with DIY stores
The South African building materials trading group Cashbuild announced a turnover of ZAR 3.967 bn in the first six months (June to December 2014) of the current fiscal year.
Both the 19 new stores and the existing sales space contributed six per cent each to the overall growth rate of twelve per cent. At the year-end, Cashbuild had 217 trading locations in operation. In the second half of the year, the company opened four new stores, modernised twelve, relocated four and closed two stores.
In addition, five Cashbuild DIY stores commenced operation in the reporting period. Thus, the number of these pilot stores has now increased to eleven.
