The world market leader presents an increase of 5.5. per cent for 2014/2015

The world market leader, Home Depot, achieved a turnover growth of 5.5 per cent to USD 83.176 bn for the business year 2014/2015 (end: 1 February 2015). On a like-for-like basis the growth was 5.3 per cent in total and the stores in the USA recorded 6.1 per cent. The Chairman, CEO and President of the company, Craig Menear, sees the improving housing market in the USA as one of the main reasons for the growth rates.
Home Depot put on a dynamic growth spurt towards the end of the year and closed the fourth quarter with a turnover increase of 8.3 per cent to USD 19.162 bn, whereby the sales in the USA grew by 8.9 per cent on a like-for-like basis and by 7.9 per cent in the whole Home Depot branch network.
At the cut-off date, Home Depot had 2 269 DIY stores in operation in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Six new store openings are planned for the current new business year.
