International hardware fair shortened

The International Hardware Trade Fair in Cologne (Germany) will only take place on three instead of four days next year, from 6 to 8 March 2016. Koelnmesse justified this step by stating that the fair, which will take place for the 40th time in 2016, has changed and likewise the business behaviour of the national and international trade fair visitors. The average length of time spent at the fair was two days in 2014. Only just under 15 per cent of the trade visitors made use of the last day of the fair. Consequently, a request was made by the industry to shorten the event. As a reaction to this request, the event duration has been changed to run from Sunday to Tuesday. Products from the tools, industry supplies, mounting and fastening technology as well as fittings and DIY supplies range will continue to be showcased.
